A Chance To Grow is a health care agency dedicated to helping children with learning problems, developmental delays and brain injuries reach their highest potential.
The organization was founded in 1982 by a group of parents looking for a better chance for their disabled children.
The agency’s ten programs include New Visions Academy (a K-7 public charter school) and The Turnquist Child Enrichment Center, as well as home-based services, specialty clinics, teacher training and a resource library.
A Chance to Grow uses an eclectic approach in developing individual programs for each child. After thorough evaluation of needs and abilities, a child’s schedule may include, for example, sensory integration, physical or speech therapy, Montessori techniques, osteopathic treatment, direct instruction and fundamental education.
