Family Tree Clinic provides quality affordable, confidential reproductive and sexual health care services to diverse communities in St. Paul.
Family Tree works to keep its services accessible, patient-driven and low-cost and to stay involved in the community. In addition to its medical clinic, the organization provides innovative community education services and education services for the deaf, deafblind and hard of hearing community.
The clinic was founded in 1971 by Macalester College students and teachers, health professionals and community leaders. Their goal was to serve the thousands of teens and adults in the area neglected by the traditional health care system. From the beginning, its founders based their philosophy of care on the needs of the community. It’s now the largest provider of reproductive health care in Ramsey County.
